WELL DRILLING - The problem of getting water to the villages of Zambia is huge! Survival depends on water – for drinking, washing clothes, bathing, and watering gardens. Either the people live along a river  but it has crocodiles so  they cannot use it, or they live away from a river and must try to dig wells or walk for miles. Every village I have been to seems to need water! They all walk miles for water and it is always treacherous. I looked into the cost of having a professional well driller come – just for drilling the hole – without pump or cement casing – it was over $10,000!  So someone suggested we should get a portable well drilling rig – hand operated.
